This year, one project I was apart of was an Investigative Report. I worked on this project with my partner, Emma, and our job was to create a report that shined a spotlight on an important issue that high schoolers were facing everyday. I decided on the topic of "Sleep depravation and how it affects the quality and quantity of a students work. We decided on the topic of sleep depravation because we felt that it was an extreme issue among high schoolers and we have both personally felt the affects of not getting enough sleep and how much it is able to affect you as a student. After doing research, Emma and I came up with our conclusion, but in order to get another look on things, we asked three people (a student, a teacher, and an administrator) to give us their input.
After doing our own research, Emma and I needed to find three other participants who have felt the affects of sleep depravation in a schooling environment who might have a different outlook on the topic. We decided to use a student (Olivia Ploughe), A teacher (Mrs. Molina), and an administrator (Mrs. Shomaker). Every individual had a very different outlook on the issue and gave their own opinion on a solution. In the video, you will see each individuals opinion on the topic and will be able to form your own after seeing all of the information for yourself. It is important that you remain unbiased until the end of the video so you can see all of the information for what it is, information. Afterwards, form your own opinion on the topic and you might come up with the solution that we were looking for! |
